On Your Marks…

Kick Off Sunday • Sun, Sept 11

September 11, 10:30am - Come hear the Vision for 2022/23 and the plans. More than that, come ready to jump in and be a part of what God is doing in Prince Rupert and the region.

Lunch will follow the service!

Bring sandwiches to share (enough for you and others) AND bring a salad or dessert.

Finding the Hope Campaign

All of Prince Rupert and Port Edward are about to receive the gospel! 5300 homes in our area will receive a package in the mail around September 15. In this package will be:

  • a booklet presenting the gospel

  • a letter and form offering more resources

  • an invitation to join our church, Fellowship Baptist, on a journey with Jesus

Every Home for Christ is the organization sending these packages out. They asked us to partner with them.

PRAY! Pray that people will be receptive. Pray for your church that we would be ready! Pray for EHC and their ongoing work!

Discovery Bible Studies

Nothing predicts mental health and happiness more than friendship and a sense of belonging. People have never been more alone than they are today. Are we ready to change course as a church family?

Be ready to take a step of faith into a small group who will discover what it looks like to follow Jesus together. In these groups we will find more than friends; we will learn to care for each other like family.

On September 11, 18, and 25 Pastor Alex will be explaining how these groups will work and why you will want to be a part of them. If you miss a Sunday, be sure to catch up on our Youtube channel!

These groups will start in October.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

September 20-22 & 24 - Help us bless our local Salvation Army’s Food Bank with a deluge of food in preparation for Thanksgiving.

  • Come to church on September 18 and pick a route.

  • Deliver bags on that route between September 20-22

  • Collect the bags of food on Saturday, September 24 before 9:00am. (They will be on the front steps of the homes. No knocking!)

  • Drop the food off at 1225 Prince George St (Mormon Church)

Pastor Alex and Julie are back!

A big “Thank-you!” to all the church for giving Julie and I a chance to get away for a sabbatical this summer. I know it was a long absence. A huge “Thank-you!” to everyone who stepped up and filled in the gaps left behind: The board for offering leadership and care, worship leaders and new musicians, sound and computer technicians, and everyone else who made sure their church family was connected.

We are back with a renewed sense of God’s call for us and our church and our friendships with the churches in Hartley Bay and Kitkatla.

– Pastor Alex
